Service Level Agreement (SLA)

Last Updated: August 2026

1. "Best-Effort" Availability

Prometheus operates as a high-performance compute cluster designed for intensive stochastic calculations. While we strive for maximum uptime, the Service is currently provided on a "Best-Effort" basis. We do not currently offer a mathematically guaranteed 99.9% uptime metric. Outages, maintenance windows, and temporary API unavailability may occur without prior notice.

2. Zero Liability for Trading & Opportunity Losses

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL PROMETHEUS BE LIABLE FOR ANY FINANCIAL LOSSES, MISSED TRADING OPPORTUNITIES, OR PORTFOLIO DEVALUATIONS RESULTING FROM SYSTEM DOWNTIME, API LATENCY, OR MATHEMATICAL ANOMALIES. BY USING THIS ENGINE, YOU EXPLICITLY WAIVE THE RIGHT TO SUE FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECULATIVE DAMAGES.

3. Credit Refunds for System Failures

Our sole liability, and your exclusive remedy, for a systemic failure of the Monte Carlo engine (e.g., a C++ worker crashing mid-calculation) is a cryptographic refund of the Compute Credits consumed by the failed task. If a task fails structurally, the credits will be automatically returned to your ledger. We do not offer fiat currency refunds for consumed or partially consumed credit packages.

4. Maintenance and Emergency Degradation

To preserve the integrity of the cluster, Prometheus reserves the right to drastically throttle rate limits, degrade service speed, or disconnect the API temporarily to mitigate DDoS attacks, patch critical vulnerabilities, or upgrade infrastructure. These actions do not constitute a breach of this SLA.
